DESCRIPTION:The Sheriff’s office has invited TCARES to set up a display next Tuesday evening during their national night out event in Twain Harte.  They will put us next to CERT.  There will also be all kinds of local law enforcement vehicles\, SWAT team\, Search and Rescue\, etc.  (see below) \n\n\n\nWe set up around 4:30 or 5 pm.  We can repeat the same kind of set up for Father Day fly-in with VHF UHF and HF demos (and FRS/GMRS) \n\n\n\nDate/TimeDate(s) – 08/01/20236:00 pm – 8:00 pm \n\n\n\nLocationEproson Park—— \n\n\n\nNational Night out is a community building campaign held across the nation each year on the first Tuesday in August as a way to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer\, more caring places to live. It enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement under positive circumstances while bringing back a true sense of community. Each year the officers look forward to meeting with the community at this event. \n\n\n\nThis casual setting gives you the opportunity to meet some of the law enforcement officers that serve our community from the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office\, California Department of Fish and Wildlife\, California Highway Patrol\, California State Park Police\, Sonora Police Department\, Tuolumne County Animal Control\, Tuolumne County Probation Department\, U.S. Forest Service\, and Yosemite National Park. You can also get an up-close look at the Sheriff’s Office SWAT vehicle\, check out the Boat Patrol boat\, see some of the Search & Rescue equipment\, and meet one of the K-9s.
