This is a used JuiceBox M2R2 portable power system, built by Hardened Power Systems. The power system is built into a painted steel .50 cal can, with a water proof sealing lid. The power system is designed around AGM (sealed lead-acid) batteries, and comes with two 12V / 12Ah batteries which are wired in parallel.
The JuiceBox has the following features:
- 3A AC wall charger and maintenance charger (see black cord in photo)
- 4.5A (70W max) solar charge controller
- 2x marine grade cigarette lighter plugs with lids
- 2x Anderson Powerpole connectors (13.8 VDC @ 20A)
- 2x 3A USB A connectors
- 450W (900W max) inverter with 2 AC sockets
- 20A circuit breaker
I’ve used this power supply for many years as part of mobile radio operations and week-long QRP tinkering in the back country. I really like the rugged design and nearly indestructible steel case. The included batteries are about a year old and have been kept at a maintenance charge for most of this time. I’m downsizing and need to make space, otherwise I’d keep this.
